The Spa Experience

Set beside Little Manitou Lake in the Saskatchewan prairie, Manitou Springs Resort & Mineral Spa offers a distinctly Canadian wellness escape centred on naturally mineral-rich water. The resort’s signature attraction is its expansive indoor mineral pool, divided into hot, warm and cool sections, with temperatures maintained between approximately 93°F and 103°F. The high concentration of dissolved salts creates remarkable buoyancy, allowing guests to float with little effort while enjoying a deeply calming sense of weightlessness.

Hotel guests receive complimentary access to the pool throughout their stay, making it easy to begin the morning with a gentle soak, return after an afternoon outdoors or unwind before dinner. Day visitors can also experience the mineral waters, while scheduled aquasize classes add a more active option. Around the pool, seating areas encourage guests to slow down and stay awhile through every season of the year. Combined with spa treatments, dining, comfortable accommodations and the quiet setting of Manitou Beach, the resort creates an approachable wellness getaway for couples, friends, families and solo travellers.

Treat Yourself

Serenity Massage and Esthetics complements the mineral pool with a broad menu of massage, body care, facials, nail services and hair treatments. Guests are encouraged to soak before selected therapies, helping warm the body and extend the restorative rhythm of the experience with attentive, unhurried personal care.

Massage choices include relaxation, aromatherapy, hot stone and deep tissue treatments. The Herbal Hot Wrap Massage layers heated stones, aromatic oils and a thermal wrap for an especially comforting ritual. Signature body treatments draw inspiration from Manitou’s mineral heritage. The Manitou Salt Glow combines dry brushing, a salt exfoliation and a warming wrap to smooth and refresh the skin, while the Manitou Minerals Mud Wrap uses mineral mud on the body and face before a thermal wrap.

For facial care, the Manitou Minerals Mud Facial includes cleansing, exfoliation, steam, toning, moisturization and a mineral mud mask. Advanced facials are tailored to concerns such as dryness, sensitivity, oil balance and mature skin. Manicures, pedicures, waxing and treatments designed for men round out the menu.

Guests looking for a complete retreat can choose Day at the Spa: Just for You, a three-hour experience combining a Manitou Minerals Mud Facial, relaxation massage and Manitou Salt Glow, with time in the mineral pools before and after treatments. A complimentary single swim is also included with massage appointments.

Stay & Dine

Guest rooms range from practical two-queen accommodations to executive king rooms, accessible rooms, lake-view options, Jacuzzi rooms and suites with full kitchenettes. Selected rooms include fireplaces, jetted tubs or views toward Little Manitou Lake, giving guests several ways to shape a comfortable overnight or multi-day stay.

Water’s Edge Restaurant and Lounge overlooks the lake and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with convenient room service also available for relaxed evening conversation. For something casual, the poolside Watercrest Café offers light meals, beverages, desserts and home-style baking, including cinnamon buns, pies and muffins. A fitness centre, gift shop, outdoor sunning area and on-site spa complete the resort experience, while complimentary mineral-pool access for registered hotel guests adds significant value to every stay.
