The Spa Experience

Perched along the tranquil shoreline of Vancouver Island’s Comox Valley, Kingfisher Pacific Resort & Spa invites guests to slow down and reconnect with nature. Overlooking the Salish Sea, this oceanfront retreat blends restorative wellness, refined coastal hospitality and spectacular views toward the Coastal Mountains. Whether visiting for a weekend escape, a spa retreat or exceptional dining, Kingfisher offers an atmosphere where the rhythm of the tides sets the pace.

For more than two decades, Kingfisher has been one of British Columbia’s premier wellness destinations. At its heart is Pacific Mist Spa, where the restorative power of the Pacific inspires marine-based therapies, hydrotherapy and immersive wellness experiences. Guests enjoy a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, infrared sauna, steam room and peaceful oceanfront relaxation areas. Widely recognized for its wellness programming, Pacific Mist Spa continues to rank among Canada’s leading resort spas.

Treat Yourself

The resort’s signature spa experiences are the Pacific Mist Hydropath® and Healing Caves®, two distinctive and complementary spa circuits inspired by the natural elements of Vancouver Island. Together, they offer an immersive wellness journey unlike any other in North America.

Pacific Mist Hydropath®

Inspired by Vancouver Island’s rugged coastline, the Pacific Mist Hydropath® is an immersive hydrotherapy journey designed to improve circulation, ease muscle tension, reduce stress and awaken the senses. Guests move through a carefully choreographed sequence of warm and cool water therapies, including invigorating Swiss showers, river walks, therapeutic waterfalls, mineral soaking pools, sandstone tidal baths, aromatic steam experiences and oceanview relaxation lounges. Natural sea minerals, West Coast botanicals and thoughtfully designed thermal transitions create a restorative wellness experience unique to Kingfisher.

Healing Caves®

The Healing Caves® offer a different approach to wellness, blending modern and traditional spa therapies in an intentional progression through six distinctive environments designed to release and restore. The immersive experience engages the senses through contrasting temperatures, atmospheres, textures, sounds and natural elements, guiding guests through a journey that encourages physical and mental renewal. From invigorating environments reaching –10°C to enveloping warmth reaching +75°C, each stage contributes to a carefully orchestrated experience that is as restorative as it is distinctive.

Together, the Hydropath® and Healing Caves® offer two complementary approaches to spa wellness. The Hydropath® is rooted in the movement and restorative properties of water, while the Healing Caves® blend traditional and contemporary therapies into a progressive, multi-sensory journey. Guests can experience either circuit individually or combine both for one of Canada’s most distinctive spa experiences.

Beyond the Circuits

Beyond its signature spa circuits, Pacific Mist Spa offers an extensive menu of massage therapies, ocean-inspired facials, body treatments, manicures, pedicures and wellness rituals using premium marine-based skincare products. Each treatment reflects the calming influence of Vancouver Island’s coastline while encouraging guests to fully relax and recharge.

Stay & Dine

Kingfisher Pacific Resort & Spa features beautifully appointed guestrooms and suites, many with fireplaces, private balconies and uninterrupted ocean views. Its intimate oceanfront setting provides convenient access to the beaches, forests, wineries, golf courses and outdoor adventures that make the Comox Valley one of British Columbia’s most scenic destinations.

Dining is an integral part of the Kingfisher experience. Ocean7 Restaurant showcases seasonal West Coast cuisine prepared with regional seafood, local produce and Vancouver Island wines, while AQUA Bistro & Wine Bar offers a relaxed setting for casual meals, handcrafted cocktails and lighter fare throughout the day.

In 2026, Executive Chef Danai Hongwaniskul and his team were recognized at the BC Hotel Association Summit for Culinary Excellence, reflecting their commitment to innovation, craftsmanship and British Columbia’s evolving culinary landscape.

Whether enjoying a restorative spa escape, celebrating a special occasion or exploring Vancouver Island, Kingfisher Pacific Resort & Spa delivers a memorable blend of wellness, comfort and authentic West Coast hospitality.
