Situated on an eight-acre private vineyard, at the southern tip of America’s most famous wine-growing region, the Meritage Resort at Napa offers guests a Tuscan-infused resort experience for wine enthusiasts, business travelers and those attending special events.
You Are Here:
Located four miles south of Napa at the intersection of Hwy 29 and Hwy 221, the resort is an hour north of San Francisco by either the Oakland Bay or Golden Gate bridge. It is serviced by San Francisco, Oakland and Sacramento airports. Private aircraft may use Napa County Airport.
Treat Yourself:
Forty feet below the iconic grape crusher statue that graces its southern end, Spa Terra is the first spa in the world to be developed entirely underground. Nestled nel cuore della terra (“in the heart of the earth”), the spa features steam grottos, soaking pools, water walls and lavishly appointed private treatment rooms for individuals and couples. Its sumptuous decor, replete with hand-wrought fixtures and extensive custom tile work, reflects the resort’s Mediterranean theme. Menu and wine service is available with treatments.
You Deserve:
Solo Vino, Spa Terra’s signature experience, combines an exfoliating grape seed scrub, an invigorating jet shower rinse, a hydrating body wrap with a wine cave mud mask and a Terra massage. A wine and cheese selection rounds out the two-hour treatment.
Stay & Play:
Guests can savor their visit to Napa wine country with a complimentary bottle of wine at check-in. Spacious Tuscan-inspired guest rooms feature terraces, granite counters, plasma TVs, Internet access and refrigerators. The resort is home to Our Lady of the Grapes, the only private wedding chapel in Napa Valley, plus the Estate Wine Bar, the Meritage Bar and the award-winning Siena restaurant. Amenities include a swimming pool and hot tub, bocce ball court, fitness center and business center. Area activities include hiking, biking, hot air ballooning, cooking classes at the Culinary Institute of America, or shopping in downtown Napa.
