IndustryRed Mountain Resort Partners With Body Bliss

November 15, 2017Craig Oliver

St. George, Utah’s Red Mountain Resort has expanded their selection of Body Bliss products – a leading natural product manufacturer, for use in the Sagestone Spa and throughout the resort. Sagestone Spa & Salon, located in one of properties original geodesic domes and surrounded by breathtaking views, offers a full menu of spa services such as Warm Himalayan Salt Stone Massage, Vibrational Sound Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy and Thai Reflexology. Wellness programs include drum circles, fire ceremonies, intuitive energy work, shamanic healing and guided imagery.

Red Mountain takes aromatherapy to a new level.  Marci coordinates with longtime General Manager, Tracey Welsh, to promote aromatherapy into corporate meetings and fitness and hiking activities.

“Red Mountain’s location in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona, where Body Bliss is based, have similar environments. We love that Body Bliss sources salts, muds and clays from this region. There are so many natural beauty and healing elements to pull from in this area. Desert-based based botanicals such as prickly pear and lavender are used in our spa treatments. We are fortunate that Body Bliss has products with these indigenous ingredients to offer in our retail boutique,” says Howard-May.

Body Bliss’ uses in and out of the spa include:

Signature Spa Treatments. Body Bliss is the primary line featured in Sagestone’s Nature Inspired Body treatments, including The Red Mountain Revitalizer and Adobe Lavender Hydrating Cocoon. The Adobe Lavender Hydrating Cocoon uses Body Bliss Goat’s Milk and Shea Butter lotion with Lavender, along with custom Sedona Red Clay infused with Lavender. Body Bliss unscented oil in used in all massages. Five signature aromatherapy blends are available to customize treatments.

Retail Boutique. All the products featured in the retail boutique are carefully vetted to make sure they are high quality and pure. Red Mountain sells Body Bliss Pocket Therapies and Native Botanicals—displayed in our sustainable bamboo displays—along with a curated selection of bath soaks, body butters, scrubs, muds, hair oil and stretch mark cream—many of which are used in the treatment room.

“Products used in the treatments are especially popular. We can’t keep the magnesium gel used in the Red Rock Hikers Massage on the shelf, it sells out so fast,” says Howard-May.

Custom Locker rooms amenities. Red Mountain offers top quality guest amenities in the spa locker room. Guests are treated to Rosemary Orange Shampoo and Conditioner and Eucalyptus Mint Shower Gel and Lotion in the locker room. The same products are available in beautiful bottles in the retail boutique.

Aromatherapy Refreshers: Special touches in and out of the treatment room add to the spa experience. Guests inhale I Rejoice essential oil blend before every treatment. The treatment room is refreshed between each treatment with I Renew hydrosol mist. I Renew essential oil blend is also diffused across the property, and custom essential oils are infused into group spaces during corporate meetings upon request. At the end of hikes and fitness classes, guests are given cold towels infused with Body Bliss Peppermint Essential Oil.

Gift Card Sales. Due to immense popularity, Marci packages Red Mountain Rosemary Orange shampoo and conditioner into gift card sales. Gift card packages are especially embraced by the local community, which represents 40 percent of Sagestone’s clientele. In addition to purchasing packages that include spa treatments, fitness classes and lunch, locals come for Christmas shopping in the retail boutique.

“Our spa is truly a place of healing. Coming from a massage therapy background, I love that the Body Bliss products are created with the therapists’ health in mind. We keep adding more Body Bliss because it is so incredible. Our staff and guests love it!” says Howard May.
