Experience Nature ~ WildSpring Guest Habitat
There is a sense of stillness here, a reverence for nature. You feel it upon arriving at the WildSpring Guest Habitat, and it soon becomes apparent that WildSpring is not simply a traditional luxury hotel or a hideaway in the Oregon woods.
Opened five years ago by Michelle Duarte, a self-proclaimed ‘recovering marketing executive,’ who designed the property to offer visitors “an alternate context in which to interact with both the stunning setting of the Oregon Coast, as well as themselves,” WildSpring is serene and splendid lifestyle offering, which must be “experienced” to be fully understood.
From spa facilities that are designed to cleanse your mind and soul, to a meditation garden and contemplative labyrinth situated amidst plenty of west-coast trees swaying in the ocean wind. Within 40 minutes here you feel a deep, spiritual sense of relaxation; something you cannot find easily at a city-based day spa.
With only five cabins, each of which is custom designed with original artwork, antique furniture and wifi (should you need it), the resort feels intimate yet secluded – you don’t run into other guests, unless you choose to. The small size also allows the small, dedicated staff to consistently deliver on its impeccable standards of service.
Breakfast is a highlight. Upon waking, you can find your pre-selected choices displayed delectably in the main guest hall, each menu item attentively labeled and plated, with care and attention paid to all your culinary preferences.
Enjoy your lazy morning by drinking in the stunning view of the Pacific Ocean from either a grassy knoll or the handsome patio. Meander through the resort and contemplate some skilfully designed mixed media art, scattered cleverly amidst the foliage, and relax. It comes easily here.
But, while daytime is peaceful at WildSpring, it is the tranquility of the night that makes it magical. Follow dimly lit mushroom-shaped lights to a large open-air hot tub and dissolve into the beauty of the night sky – the stars are bright here.
It is rare indeed to find a place that both quiets and opens your mind, changing your perspective on nature above and letting your cares drift away with the ocean below.
